Every journey has a beginning and an end, including mine. In this blog post, you will get a glimpse into the start of my personal journey of discovery and find out how I am experiencing it.
Past: ‘The Start’
My journey began in high school. There, I delved into the study of visual/graphic multimedia as well as interactive multimedia (Se-n-Se). These courses opened the doors to the world of graphic skills, web design, and video editing. I developed a strong foundation in creative disciplines and discovered my passion for crafting visual stories. My experience in creating compelling visual elements taught me that images can tell powerful stories and evoke emotions. It was a period of discovery and growth, during which I further developed my passion for multimedia and realized the difference a strong visual can make.
Present: ‘Student’
Now, I continue my journey as a student at Howest Kortrijk. Here, I chose the Marketing and Communication Support program. This choice was partly based on the continuation of my previous studies. It turned out to be a perfect complement, where my graphic skills and creative thinking converge. My days are now filled with writing persuasive texts, understanding the psychology behind consumer behavior, and mastering the art of conveying ideas.
My background in graphic design and multimedia is very useful during my studies. I can apply my own workflow and creative approach to our assignments. Whether it’s designing appealing visual content, coming up with catchy campaigns, or understanding the latest trends in digital media, I am always looking for ways to leave my creative mark on this field.
Future: ‘future in entrepreneurship?’
My dreams extend beyond the classroom. In a few years, I aim to start my own business, where I can combine my passion for multimedia and marketing. Additionally, I wish to remain involved in creative tasks even as an entrepreneur. Whether it’s coming up with new concepts or designing visuals, I want to keep my creative flame alive.
Outside of work, I am passionate about traveling, a source of inspiration that fuels my creative thinking and broadens my horizons. Through my work, I would love to discover new places and cultures. I hope to make these dreams come true, but we’ll see. I am determined to combine my graphic skills and marketing insights into innovative projects. Whether this path ultimately leads me to entrepreneurship, a creative career, or a blend of both, only time will tell.
